Buffalo in India and Colored Ink

Black ink on 7½ x 8½-inch on paper and cardstock. ♦ Late 1970’s

This social comment piece done for a High School art class shows a buffalo drawn in India Ink on white paper. Then the artist used red, brown, and yellow colored inks and blew the ink outward on the page with a straw. After painstakingly cutting around the splatter with a razor knife, the piece was mounted on a background of olive-green cardstock.
