Warrior On Horseback
Acrylics on wallboards. K. L. Todd began painting murals while in High School. The fist two were in the Drama room at the request of the Drama teacher. When the principal saw them, he asked her to do a warrior (the school mascot) on horseback in the front hallway by the office. Through the years, several of K. L. Todd’s murals have unfortunately been painted over, but this one, painted in her senior year in 1979 remains in excellent condition in the school’s front hallway to this day. Art students have done touch-ups on the few small scuffs, but overall, students have enjoyed and respected this mural for the last 40+ years.

“I love to come back and visit my mural to see how the art students are touching up the mural that I painted so many years ago.”
